EUDR software as a single source of truth
Secure control of EUDR: clearly structured, automated, and efficiently implemented
leadity centrally bundles all EUDR-relevant information: Products, suppliers, and harvest data, etc., are automatically captured via API, checked, and prepared for SE creation. ERP data such as orders, customs codes, geocoordinates, etc. are also integrated into the software, along with supplier self-disclosures and ESG data. In addition, we integrate satellite data from geoclidian for geographic risk screening. All data is processed in compliance with regulations and automatically transmitted to the EU Deforestation Regulation Information System (EUDR-IS) – for complete compliance with minimal effort.
Efficiency in EUDR implementation
EUDR software: Systematic Risk Assessment and Mitigation
Based on the transmitted data, leadity performs a standardized risk analysis using recognized risk indices. If the risk is negligible, you automatically benefit from reduced due diligence obligations. If risk mitigation is required, you manage, and document all measures directly within the platform. Implementation is transparent and legally compliant.
- Retrieve risk information at the push of a button
- Reduced due diligence obligations with negligible risk
- Integrated action management for self-disclosures, questionnaires, certificates, and other evidence

What is the EUDR and why is it important?
The EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation) is an EU regulation (2023/1115) that will take effect on December 30, 2025 (with a transitional arrangement for SMEs until June 30, 2026). It prohibits the trade in raw materials and products that originate from areas affected by deforestation after December 31, 2020. This includes seven key raw materials such as wood, cattle, soy, palm oil, coffee, cocoa, or rubber. Violations can be punished with fines of up to 4% of the annual turnover.
Who is affected by the new EUDR regulation?
All companies that import, export, or place relevant raw materials on the EU market, including both large corporations and SMEs are affected. While large companies are subject to strict reporting obligations, SMEs face reduced requirements. Nevertheless, they must be able to provide the necessary documentation.
What obligations does the EUDR create for sustainability managers?
They must, among other things:
- Establish due diligence and risk processes: analyze supply chains, identify risks, take action, create reports (review annually, retain documents for 5 years).
- Prepare a due diligence statement and, if applicable, submit it online via TRACES.
- Centrally manage data on origin, geocoordinates, risk analyses, and supporting documentation.
Why are Excel/Word no longer sufficient for 100% EUDR compliance?
The EUDR requires a high level of transparency, traceability, and accessibility – for example, of satellite images, geodata, and automated verification processes. Spreadsheet programs quickly reach their limits here. In contrast, modern EUDR software solutions offer the necessary automation, interfaces, and secure data management.
What personal benefits does an EUDR software offer to a sustainability manager?
- Efficiency: Routine tasks like data queries, reporting, and monitoring are automated and run seamlessly in the background.
- Strategic focus: More time for risk analyses, sustainable supply chain development, and team training.
- Security: Built-in system support replaces guesswork with reliable, data-driven decision-making.
- Visible success: Achieved through status reports, project dashboards, and real-time monitoring.
